- For years we have been developing and producing faucet and cistern systems that save millions of litres of water every year.
- Moreover, we want to keep the sky blue by reducing CO2 emissions in our factories.
- Because at Roca we are convinced that good intentions are not sufficient.
- We love our planet and we demonstrate it.
- Roca’s commitment to the environment is proven at a number of levels: production plants, product development, responsible use of resources and sponsoring of events.
- As a result of its commitment to quality and respect for the environment, Roca has been awarded a range of certifications confirming that all its production processes, from design to commercialisation, strictly comply with requirements for conserving nature and that all its products meet applicable quality standards regulations.
- The Group’s environmental policy finds concrete form in the Eco-Roca Project, whose main goals are to reduce energy consumption per tonne produced by 25% by 2011, with a resulting reduction in CO2 emissions, as well as the achievement in the same year of an industrial process with no material waste. This second objective is being secured via its Zero-Waste Programme. Roca is also keenly aware that water is a unique, limited resource and has therefore, since the 1960s, been implementing a range of initiatives to encourage water saving.
- This has been achieved thanks to the development and implementation of saving mechanisms that respect the environment in its product range, including faucets, dual flush cisterns and flow regulators. With regard to faucets, all single-lever mixers have a water-saving mechanism that helps reduce water consumption by up to 50%. Additionally, all our cisterns incorporate dual flush mechanisms (3 or 6 litres) to save water.
- As part of the company’s commitment to saving water, Roca sponsored Expo Zaragoza 2008, an international point of encounter for encouraging responsible consumption projects and for raising the awareness of both the public and official institutions of how scarce a resource water is. In the field of technology, the company has continued to improve its production processes to further optimise both the productivity and efficiency of its facilities and the technological level of its products.
